Its taken me a whike to warm up to Dam Funk, whilst a big Stones Throw fan, his brand of boogie funk felt a little lightweight to me. However over the years I've increasingly taken to the sound of later 70's into early 80's disco as I've joined the dots between disco, boogie hip hop proto house and the development of todays multi genres.

Having dabbled with a couple of DF / Arrington 12's and also embraced Slave I splurged on this. Non suprises its Zapp like electro boogie funk, but you know what? I like it. It is superior to a lot of what is passing for authentic boogie currently, played by two masters of the genre. The old master and protege if you like. Karate Kid electro funk? Recommended.
