7/10 Clinton Staff review, 13 September 2013
This is out on Sun Araw’s new label and features M. Geddes Gengras and a member of Boredoms.
The three of them convened at a Rotterdam’s legendary The Worm studio – a grotto of vintage synths and hard-to-find analogue equipment - and recorded a whole double album's worth of stuff using their new-found toys. The album consists of lots of lengthy improvisations and jams. Whilst its difficult to find anything as conventional as a tune within the synth workouts, it's certainly audio porn for lovers of analogue synth.
It's all bleeps, bloops and wavering tones - suggesting the kind of experimental thing that could have been made in the 1970s when such machines were as big as houses.
