Long running mix series Late Night Tales featured none other than Four Tet way back in 2004, and of course he has gone from strength to strength since then… Hence this brand new pressing to (double) vinyl. Mr. Hebden’s eclectic mixture brings in all sorts of sunny experimentalism, making for a damn fine listen.

Vinyl Double LP £21.99 ALNLP12

If you have been listening closely to Four Tet (and Fridge) and love each track's carefully crafted aggregate of samplings (or whatever), use of texture and the warmth of it all, this comp is exactly what I'd expect to hear from KH and also what I'd *want* to hear -- it's like digging through his collection and realising you haven't been listening to a diverse enough selection of music as you thought you had. Here he is, paring it down and leading you straight to the good stuff. His selection is not full of electronic tracks (kind of a relief) as one might expect, but each one has a clearly defined beat or sweet instrumentation.
