Frightening electronic music where pounding beats meet with cello and skittery electronics. It sounds less dubstep, and less ‘Bristol’ than previous work; instead it contains laser-guided sounds, huge chunks of monolithic synths. ‘Bury Your Brother’ is probably the most impressive cut with shrill organs picking out melody behind big industrial synth clanks. Lorn has certainly taken elements of the melody that marked out his debut on Brainfeeder and replaced it with a kind of dark industrial edginess. The closing title track features descending squelchy synths, sounds that normally don’t provide emotion but it all sounds terribly sad.  Four track 10” EP on Ninja Tune.
