8/10 ReviewBot300 Staff review, 07 August 2013
We’ve got a new parcel from Clan Destine in today so no sooner have I got my head around the crumbling darkness of the new “eyedoublecross” album than I’m straight back in the murk with this droney, pulsating album of post-industrial post-dub post-pop weirdness by Yves/Son/Ace, which sees Factums/Love Tan dude Matthew Ford under his spooky alias with some late night thuds and bloops and rumbles to unsettle your subconscious with.
This ranges from dark Suicidey incantations alongside cold robotic minimal beats, ethereal alien synthscapes and brain scramblingly hypnotic analogue tomfoolery that keeps leaving me gazing slack-jawed at my computer screen when I should be typing. Always typing. These reviews aren’t going to write themselves you know. Much like the eyedoublecross record it is both good and woozy. Perhaps you should buy them both.
