More re-issues. This time from folks who ended up in Dirty Three, Jim White and Mick Turner to name two of them. How they got from this to that is anyones guess as what we have here is ferocious punk/scree/noise rock that really can only be compared to the rock behemoth that was early Birthday Party. The drums are rampant, the guitars incendiary and the vocals full of anger. It has that antipodean snarl. Its dirty and grimy recorded seemingly in a metallic pipe, this is music at its rawest and most basic, with just slithers of melody coming through the sprawl. There are a slew of Venom P Stinger re-issues coming out, a devilish but fascinating listen. And to think Jim White did all this whilst also playing in a band called People With Chairs Up Their Noses. Tremendous.
