7/10 Jack Furness 7th February 2016

I first saw The Weeks at Hard Rock Calling festival in 2013, they were a band I was keen to see as I knew they would be the support band for Kings of Leon who I was going to see a few weeks after. They didn't disappoint on either occasion- playing a number of tracks from this album.

Songs such as 'Brother in the Night' and 'King-Sized Death Bed' are undoubted highlights early on in the album, and are amongst some of the most popular live.

A personal favourite of mine is the chilled out yet punchy track 'Bad Enough'. The southern vibe is prevalent and the dual vocal with a female singer (unsure of name) for the chorus is perfect.

If you are a fan of Kings of Leon's early material, then undoubtably you'll like The Weeks. Aside from tracks off this album, listen to 'Buttons' and 'The House That We Grew Up In' to gain more of a feel for the band's country, southern rock n'roll sound.
