8/10 Nevan Customer review, 13th July 2013
Don't say tech house people please. We're past this stage now, come on. We all agreed pigeon holing like that abomination has to stop. This EP is trance infected synth house/disco/techno hybrids and that's all i'll say on the matter. We can all agree on that, right? Sorted. Cheers. Goodbye. Go Home and stick on your Disclosure record if you don't like my philosophy.
Ok now back to the music. Dan Snaith signs up Junior Boy's Jeremy Greenspan, who collaborating with synthy person Bory (she's pretty foreign to me I must admit) shows off his more dancey side of his persona on this new 12' on Snaith's diverse but ever so reliable label JIAOLONG. A side God Told Me To is a delicious slice of 4/4 techno with a crescendoing synthy bit that is tidily euphoric. A mix every head can agree on. The rest of the EP follows suite in this 4/4 house/techno (not TECH HOUSE!!) vibe that will come in handy this summer for many DJ's of the aforementioned genres. Dance on the Club Floor or your Bedroom Floor. Makes no difference to me or the JIAOLONG crew I imagine. Just buy it please. Support the independent music cause.
