Ooh this thing sounds promising. Two guys from the experimental floaty underworld joining forces to create some unique scapeyspheres whilst holding hands (hopefully). I loved the last Christophe Baillieu album on Soundscaping (it’s my fave release on the label) and Demoulin’s Silencio has pleasured me many a time.

So will the two of ‘em together rupture me sideways? Well not really as they’re both ambient dudes on the quieter side of music, but they’re making an enjoyable ambience comprising of organic sounding synth work and electronic treatments. There’s some hearty electro acoustic action going on with some real instruments fleshing the sound out to something I’d describe as lush. It’s sounding special!

‘Faceless, Careless’ is an absolute treasure of a tune with some light strummy guitar in the background, some bizarre swipey noises, plenty o' bloop and when the bass kicks in later on it’s like you’re sailing in a delightful sea of smiling sea creatures who all want to hold your hand. ‘The Past Better Than It Was’ is a Boardsesque wobbly synth expedition which comes into its own when the pastoral guitars kick in.

In short, this is a high quality release available on 2 formats (both CD, one of which is cheap-ish and the other is expensive and unbelievably deluxe, all Time Released Sound stylee). I’m liking this and I’d hold both formats in each of my hands.
