Gotta love Burger Recs. Here's a nice album of unpretentious 60's derived garage-rock brim full of fuzz and addictive tunes.  'Roky Said' both gives you an idea of where the album is coming from with its Roky Erikson referencing title and proves one of the album highlights, its mid song breakdown somewhere between The Doors and Love. Its all very authentic and Paisley Underground. 'Summer With Phil' (oh what a horrid idea!) sounds like the Animals playing through a slightly detuned radio. The jury's out on the constantly distorted vocals which are a bit Crystal Stilts at times for my liking and a bit wearing on the ear after a few tracks but this is really fun punky psych. Ty Segall/Fuzz fans have a listen.
