Major German players Can captured on film in the midst of a live performance here, to no less than 10,000 people! Can DVD is just that, containing the full 1972 concert, along with a behind-the scenes film by Hildegard Schmidt and a documentary on the group. Ooh, and some surround sound audio remixes too.

7/10 Jack Customer review, 1st February 2015

I have a few minor gripes. The period from 1968-1974, during which Can did their most influential and impressive work, is not represented enough in the documentary. Perhaps video footage from this era simply doesn't exist, but I would have loved to have seen more about the making of such masterpieces as "Tago Mago" and "Ege Bamyasi". Aside from a live performance of "Paperhouse" from 1971, and a band interview in a stairwell somewhere in Germany, we don't see much from this period. On the other hand, the "free concert" from 1972 (on disc 1) is mind-blowing and *almost* makes up for the lack of footage noted above.
