8/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 17th November 2014

A girl group called the Mama Cats used to perform around Detroit with the likes of Bob Seger and Glen Frey. The girls moved to LA where they were signed by psychedelic cowboy Lee Hazelwood, renamed Honey Ltd and recorded with the Wrecking Crew as their backing band. This collection represents everything that they recorded for Hazelwood. This is fab girl group stuff: catchy melodies, soulful harmonies and perfect musicianship. There’s even a sassy version of “Louie Louie”. Another great find from Light In The Attic records. Well worth a punt if 60s girl groups are your bag.
