His new CTMF project shines a nostalgic light on his pre-punk Military Midway Research Group days. Yes, Wild Billy used to have a club for researching forts in his local area before going ‘mental’ for punk. This 7” tells me two things; Wildish is posh and not to be trusted, and he’s obviously too sentimental to be a punk rocker. 'A' side ‘36 Years Later’ ponders the years (36) he’s spent rehashing Kinks riffs and includes some ‘biting’ oldy man commentary on modern times. He says stuff like ‘computer’ and ‘Wikipedia’ then denounces them with every ounce of his punk rock vigor. Bless.

He’s also hating on disco which, to be honest, I just find plain offensive. Grow up you daft racist (joke!). Flip it and you get the childhood penned ‘Chatham Forts’ which is good even though it’s about forts.
