Well, I guess this is somewhere between the Hot Water Music/Small Brown Bike school of gruff punk and the Indian Summer/Clikatat Ikatowi university of dynamically strident lo-fi open heart surgery.

They do a pretty solid job of it, too. It’s like I’m back in the ‘90s! Can’t say it’s blowing me away but it’s certainly the most solid emo revivalist stuff I’ve heard since Crash Of Rhinos’ excellent debut LP. I’m struggling to understand who in their right mind would squeeze two songs onto a one-sided 33rpm 7” instead of two sides at 45, though...
