Another part of our Monopsone - Fragments triple bill (see also Darko and The Declining Winter), here are Pan Aurora whose sound is a very European style electronic pop which sits somewhere between Propaganda, Depeche Mode and Phoenix (if such a place exists on this earth).

Opener ‘Sky Drops’ has a swirling sound which despite its gothy leanings is rather appealing. The chorus is a really, really catchy affair and I’m liking the various bits of guitar that come in towards the end. A grower, definitely. ‘Z’ is brighter and more along your Pheonix-type danceable pop. Again the track improves as it goes along with some nice production. I also like closer ‘Fact’ which has a bit of David Sylvian in the voice, some neat shards of guitar with hints of later Blonde Redhead at times and early Simple Minds at others.

Polished, darkly-European electronic pop to savour. Numbered, with download code.
