This is an album full to the brim of different styles from the world of electronic dance music, ‘Christ Dust’ is a mega anthem with soaring string synths and ‘Wipe’ is Mike’s own take on dubstep without the annoying wub wub sounds of the chart stuff, there are some classic house moments here like the 80’s electro ‘Monyth’ and ‘Tickly Flanks’, with elements of the 90’s ambient dance sound from past masters like Spooky, and The Black Dog on tracks like ‘Melting Bas’ and ‘Feeble Minded’, ‘Chewed Corners’ is proof that this kind of music still sounds as fresh as a daisy and Mike Paradinas is still making albums as good as this.

'Chewed Corners' is a real high point in µ-Ziq's career. He's always been up there as one of the luminaries of the IDM scene. IDM. Intelligent Dance Music. It's not a term I've ever been comfortable with. The suggestion that this is music of some sort of higher order is ridiculous. Do you need to be in Mensa to enjoy this music or something? No, of course you don't. Anyway, I digress. How you categorise it is irrelevant.

This is a highly tuneful, almost old-skool blast of some of the finest work Paradinas has ever done. It makes you want to throw some shapes around your living room. Assuming the living room is where you're listening to it. Packed full of meaty beats and classic sounding synths, it all culminates in the monstrous final track 'Weakling Paradinas' which just blows you away, right off the face of Planet Mu.
