- Licht by Shampoo Boy

Christian Schachinger, Christina Nemec and Peter Rehberg are the Vienna trio that comprise Shampoo Boy. Utilizing guitar bass and electronics the counjor up some thick richly textured soundscapes with feedback, drones and pulsing, grand walls of electronic sound.
The first of the improvised tracks, as the title suggests 'Loch' descends into deep murky waters, a dark and foreboding piece swamped in both misery and mystery. 'Fall' is equally concerned with darkness with dramatic low end with screeing power electronics and then some thunderous futuristic doom. 'Gift' seems like the most obviously improvised track of the set taking a bit to settle but once it gets going it's a real bliss-out with an almost shoe-gaze feel.
'Still' is the least upfront in your face track on the record, stripped back and spacious. It tinkles away at the beginning then the bass really fills things out and things go in a sorta organic sounding dark guitar ambient route. Good stuff.
