This 7” is part of a set of three singles from Kishi Bashi. Joyful Noise do their usual alluring job with the artwork and present a nauseating slab of splatter vinyl. The A-side "Manchester" is an album cut, whilst on the flip Kishi takes on Beirut’s most famed piece of Francophilia, "A Sunday Smile".

Manchester / A Sunday Smile (by Beirut) by Kishi Bashi

8/10 Jack Customer review, 6th January 2015

A sweet little 7 inch with yet another beautiful cover design, let Kishi Bashi’s heavenly voice and violin envelop you. Side A introduces you to his most highly regarded hit “Manchester” an epic with sweeping orchestration, high tenor vocals and a climax that will floor anyone with a heart and or soul. Side 2 of this sweet little single has a cover by indie contemporary Beirut, which is beautifully re-worked by Kishi on violin. A great little inclusion if you’re a fan of singles, in my opinion.
