6/10 Jack Customer review, 1st March 2018
In theory, it's a good idea -- mixing bits of metal, dreampop, space-rock and one driving guitar. But Lansing-Dreiden never lives up to its promise in "Sectioned Beam." It feels like a good experimental album that hasn't decided if it wants to be the Beach Boys or a quirky ambient-pop group.
This offbeat musical collective sounds like a less sunny, more peculiar version of the Polyphonic Spree. Their sound is polished, yet they seem to need their sound pulled together and tightened before it can be truly entrancing.
