Debut album on Dial Records from Scott Mou, one half of duo Jane (ft. Panda Bear), ‘Yellow Pages’ begins with an almost Godspeed-like post-rock echo, a lonely guitar and an even lonelier falsetto vocal that’s cathedral-esque in its reverb and whereas Godspeed would build and build into an explosive crescendo, this just fades slowly into the distance. ‘Keep it’ continues in the same vein but drifts quite splendidly and I’m getting more of a Labradford vibe with this album only less dark.

‘Cables’ has a long single drone of a guitar sound like a slower Codeine (if that’s at all possible!) and closer ‘Here Comes The Snow’ is all Durutti Column sadness. With only four songs on this album it might seem a little short but then the best things do come in small packages as ‘End Times’ is a fine little album indeed.
