Oh it’s been a right moan-fest here today. I came in to my usual greeting. Namely everyone is either off ill or are here and ill. Everything is busy, everyone is stressed. You have to ask yourself is this the life we should be getting bogged down with? Sometimes I just want to run away to a hill and help build a stone wall. Did the people who built Bolton Abbey get stressed and sick all the bloody time? Stuff is going terribly wrong somewhere...is LA like this? Maybe I should save up and go there. And another thing, Phil is unhappy with this 12” - he likes the album you see and these are much different interpretations. In fact he said - it’s just “not Om”. Boom Boom. You have to laugh or you’d weep yourself to death.

I’m trying to remain positive, the world won’t end and I like this 12”. Alpha and Omega take Om’s music into a far off dub place utilising the heavy bass and adding bits of percussion and cut up voice. I like the way the maudlin cellos are utilised, bringing a mournful edge to the atmospheric dub workout on the A side. Disappointingly, the B side is a continuation of the A side and as such is not really any different. It would have been nice to get another tune on there as one side of the A side was more than enough. Musically great though.
