The next installment in the series that has got Brian hot under the collar of late. A 15 year old recording that was strangely left unreleased at the time. Initially a collaboration between three mysterious boffin-like producers aiming to marry the sounds of their contemporaries  Dopplereffekt, Underground Resistance, Plaid, with the influence of earlier travellers such as Cabaret Voltaire and Human League. The effect is a slightly sinister take on techno influenced dance music.

The best comparisons would be toward the Rephlex label, Aphex Twin etc but there is a warm sound to the grooves, the third track particular is the perfect marriage of skittery electronics and warm melodic synths giving an energetic yet soothing hue. Elsewhere (and sorry I don’t see song titles anywhere) the fourth tune is a standout, beautiful juddering bass tones contrast with Plaid-like melodic flourishes. Later, an unexpected voice comes to  the fore to break up the intense dancefloor rhythms. Its superbly done and will appeal to fans of early Warp, Autechre, Drexcyia etc.
