“An attempt to merge Beethoven and Autechre”, screams the press release bizarrely. What the Dickens are they on about? I implore you NOT to buy this album if you like the deaf one or the ones who try to make people deaf. It has probably been done in a desperate last-ditch attempt into making people think that this album isn’t by Sade.
Yep, the only woman in the world who can somehow successfully employ the scraped back hairdo. I’m an enormo-fan of her debut ‘Diamond Life’, a gorgeous effort, her voice like the slitheriest ice cream oozing down your throat. This sounds more like one of her later efforts, where the musical accompaniment is a little more rinky-dink. It’s so ‘80s aspirational it might as well be driving a Golf GTI convertible. And just when you think it can’t get any more Sade, ‘Shed Some Blood’ comes along. Now this is EXACTLY like Sade. It has the wine bar guitars, the light summer cocktail percussion, the tuxedo’d horn players. Now, Helen Folasade Adu, are you behind this? For fans of Sade, anyone who sounds like Sade.

I disagree with Clinton cause it can only be five stars. The music seems old but its new (thats whats mystical and weird about it) Sade makes you wanna start kissing and Rhye makes you wanna relax with warmth. But yeah, I love Sade. So much but its great to discover new sounds
