As you would expect it’s highly rhythmic and danceable, mixing African and western traditions for a propulsive couple of tracks of hot, vibrant party jazz that falls somewhere between Zun Zun Egui and Gala Drop, all frantic wide-eyed melodies and cheeky playful polyrhythms - my favourite moment in fact comes right towards the end of the B-side ‘We Are Enough’ when the sax cools it for long enough to be able to pick out a brilliant bit of polyrhythmic handclapping before everything bursts back in one last time. It’s the sound of a load of talented musicians getting loose and having a bit of fun. I like it.
