I love everything about Pye Corner Audio. I love pie, I like hanging around in corners* and I like music (hence running a record shop). It’s all gravy (which I like too). The Head Technician released a couple of brilliant records last year which both blew me away (espesh The Black MIll Tapes). We managed to blag some of this super limited cassette on Tapeworm through Touch which is limited to just 100 copies!
Here Mr Audio is in suitably dark form with two pieces of swirling dark ambient synth business to ruffle your audio feathers with. Apparently the two tracks are an exploration of the set up he has at his live shows which is a looping delay pedal and two synthesizers. The tracks are a dark and brooding throbbing exercise in creating unique soundscapes. It’s making me feel a little paranoid and weird which I kinda like. Oscillations, throbs, pulses, synthy drones, a dash of cosmicity and some wayward thinking are on offer here!
