Speed review time! There’s too many records and not enough people this week so I’m keepin’ it brief! Underappreciated sax-skronk post-punkers Blurt debut album ‘Live In Berlin’ has just got this lovely reissue on Factory Benelux and it’s brilliant!

Nine tracks of their crazy minimalist sax-party weirdness like Beefheart meets Shellac meets Sweep The Leg Johnny meets Morphine at their most anarchic, all hard, funky rock grooves and of course shrieking sax and wild vocals from their maverick frontman Ted Milton, throwing free jazz and punk into the blender and coming out with something crazy, groovy, fun and totally fresh sounding even over 30 years later. Fans of modern day anarchic honkers like Mats Gustafsson or Terry Edwards will have a blast with this!
