Sadly, I am not street. I’m more of a toasted teacake, cup of tea and double cardigan man. Hence, when I tried to find this on our website I was spelling their name ‘Little Silver’. Hopeless. So here it is, it’s a slab of acidy squeaking dub dancehall. Scattershot beats are accompanied by bloops and beeps. Halfway through there’s some nice bendy notes. I’m paid to write this you know. If it were the BBC there would be an inquiry.
The other side has a different feel, the beat is in 4/4 time, tripping up over itself. The synths are seemingly replicating someone screeching their fingers down a balloon - until halfway through it hits paydirt with a tremendous gloopy bassline that ties the whole thing together then launches into a dancy extended workout that makes me want to jive all the way to Airedale. The bassline is fat...I mean phat - it’s fucking massive. A disembodied voice comes in here and there. Music made by people who obviously know what they are doing. The record itself is white without any writing on it at all. So if you order it and you look in the parcel and one of the records is not labelled, this will be it. I’d stick a post-it on there if I were you.
