The man with the best and most luscious swept over hair in psych-pop history returns with a new album of whimsical English pop gems. As many artists have found this year, their muse has taken them in the direction of commenting on the utter chaos that is modern life both politically and environmentally. Love From London celebrates the culture that exists despite this mess.

8/10 Jack 17th February 2016This is a more produced album with a full band, but Robyn's songwriting brilliance and artistry shines through every step. As expected, he makes magical use of more contemporary sounds, styles and techniques. Love From London fits in well with the rest of Robyn's catalog, maintaining his high standards both musically and lyrically. "Harry's Song" starts with eerie piano arpeggios reminiscent of Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata". Robyn sings slightly off pitch in places here, perhaps thumbing his nose at radio friendly pop pablum that relies on pitch correction to the extent it changes the sound of the human voice.
