Girlseeker are a trio featuring two synthesizists and singer/guitarist Alexander Fnug Olsen, and this is a charming little nugget of lo-fi garage pop which as you would expect is drenched in ‘80s style keys, but that’s offset by quite a buzzy and obnoxious garage guitar tone and a vocal delivery which is reminding me of Wet Hair, Bauhaus and Teenage Panzerkorps. The A side ‘Lonely Hours’ starts off quite rinky-dink before exploding into a catchy garage pop gem, while on the flip ‘Hurricane’ is more of weird and brittle number. Both good songs.
