This is the work of Brandon Knocke who’s turned in a cool long player for Digitalis. From start to finish the LP is packed with sleek soulful synth-tronica and late night slow motion space funk. It makes me imagine riding through future utopia’s in that really sweet spacecraft from 80’s kid flick Flight Of The Navigator, with the sun beaming and reflecting off of mirror covered skyscrapers and reflections of neon lights.

At several points I’m reminded of the classic The Other People Place album on Warp and also various Gerald Donald projects. The production is pristine throughout so if you’re looking for some lush melancholy electro goodness this is well worth checking out. It’s a super laid back ride with some vocoder vocals scattered here and there to complete the robo-funk. This will surely warm your cockles during the current drop in temperature. Lovely stuff and am digging the cover art too.
