Ithaca Trio are in fact a Leodensian duo of Oliver Thurley and James Lavender and they’ve got a new CD here for us from those drifty bliss-merchants at Hibernate, masted by “king of blurry” Lawrence English. The resulting concoction is a soothing mix of drones, restrained melodies and field recordings, delicately structured for a therapeutic, dreamy listen, sometimes there’s gentle guitar twinkles, sometimes throbbing organ drones.

Phil just said that it doesn’t sound much like other Hibernate stuff because “there’s some instruments going on, and guitar”. I say bullshit, it’s all drifty and floaty and it’ll relax your balls off just like their other ones.
