Another of these Great Pop Supplement 7”s which have arrived this week is this split between High Wolf and Kunlun. On High Wolf’s side the mysterious many-faced Frenchman loops a weird chuntering eastern rhythm over which a bright trebly Afro-ish guitar loop comes in and then Mr Wolf gets down to some Mark McGuire-esque shredding. It’s one of his more lively tracks and oozes raw summery new age good vibes.

Kunlun’s side opens with some cosmic watery-sounding processed guitar loops (I think) which then get joined by some soothing modular (I think) burbling. It’s total blissed out kosmische that’s like a warmer and more spliffed up take on Kluster or Kosmonaut’s repeato meditations. It’s silky smooth and totally floaty. Great single.
