I’m pretty sure I reviewed this chap’s last album but looking on the site there is no review there. That’s officially mental. Or maybe there’s some weird cyber ghostly stuff going on that I can’t explain? Well whatever it is I can’t explain it so I may as well stop banging on about it. Here is the second album by Ghost & Tape dude ‘Heine Christensen’ and it’s on Schole again.

This new album sees Mr Tape continue his foray into the world of acoustic guitar and crackles. Backwards plucked guitars meet forwards guitars with, some tape hum, some delicate electronic sounds and lots of clicky. Essentially this is very listenable almost poppy electro acoustic music (note it’s been mastered by the king of electro acoustic...Taylor Deupree) of the likes that you’ve probably heard before.

It’s a quiet reflective listen but then being that the album is supposed to be based on Mr Tape’s experiences in Barcelona and Copenhagen (where he lives) I guess you’d expect a degree of intimacy. Lo-fi pleasing crackles and guitar loops are the order of the day here. Aaaannnnd there’s two remixes tacked onto the end by Paniyolo and Sawako.
