Luls are not afraid of ‘80s hair metal guitars, that’s for sure - they have obviously studied their REO Speedwagon albums with a keen eye but also there is a bit of Band of Horses in there...and Tears For Fears and Europe. What they lack in subtlety they make up for in a tune, the chorus is great, lots of men shouting a big anthem together. The flip starts quietly but soon ends up in them all shouting something together. Polyphonic Spree anyone?
