This is the debut release on new label Mira which is apparently from the Avian camp so presumably that means that Shifted, MPIA3 or Ventress are behind it but who knows, they could all be aliases of Guy Brewer for all we know. Anyway speculation aside what we have here are four rugged and heavy stripped back techno cuts and some bonus locked grooves.

‘22ml’ is first up and it’s a big room thumper with weighty kick and minimal percussion with gritty, grainy synths bursting in and dissolving into tiny spiky fragments.

‘48ml’ is super deep although it’s pretty much just a loop it’s one of those tracks where you can’t always clearly identify where the elements that comprise it change or whether you’re just focusing in on particular elements at different times. Totally hypnotizing techno, a bit like older Regis material in some ways. The first lock groove also has a bit of early Downwards flavour, this time recalling Female perhaps.

‘33ml’ again is pretty minimal with a gnarly bassline and sharp hi-hats and then a really off-kilter riff which makes the whole thing feel quite wonky. I like to imagine this will induce some sort of whitey upon unsuspecting dancers. Hehehe....

‘9ml’ is a proper dark comatose techno best ingested at around 4am. All solid tracks on this 10” and as it’s called ‘Part One’ then hopefully that means there will be more to come from this mysterious entity.
