It starts off with a little boy reading poetry which is very much like a late 60’s psych pop release. But then (out of nowhere!) comes a lone guitar riff with some layered vocals singing the catchy part of the song (ie the chorus which is always good to hear at the start of a song). Then there’s different types of vocals (some are spoken, some have effects on) over minimal guitar. The little boy pops up again reading poetry for a bit. It’s all happening! You don’t know what’s gonna happen next which I like! It’s a quirky experimental pop song which is oozing with charm. Flip it over and you get a simple charming song with acoustic guitar and the occasional vocals which has a psych pop feel to it. A very unusual and original sounding single!
