8/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 31st October 2014

Three years and a Chippaquiddick Skyline album since their debut, The Pernice Brothers second album, “The World Won’t End” opens with the glorious chime of guitars. “Working Girls (Sunlight Shines)” is perfect guitar pop and one of Joe Pernice’s best songs. This album is full of chiming guitars and swooning and catchy melodies. It’s a great listen but something about it doesn’t have the permanence of a classic like Pernice’s Scud Mountain Boys’ “Massachusetts”. “Let It Show” and “7.30” are great. “Shaken Baby” is one of the album’s best ballads. “Cornulla Breakdown” wraps things up nicely. It is still my favourite of the Pernice Brothers albums.
