Prins Thomas is back with an album of joyous, playful and irreverent dance music which borrows from house and techno traditions while maintaining a freewheeling spirit all of its own. Opening with the flutter-beats of ‘Bobletekno (Perkmilks)’, a clicking flicker slowly morphs into second track ‘Symfonisk Utviklingshemning’ where some sweet synth grooves join the equation topped with a soft cosmic disco bassline, turning what initially seemed like it was going to be a challenge into a silky dancefloor bliss-out before ‘Bom Bom’ takes us into more straight house territory with a bouncy carefree beat-driven pumper.

The whole album plays as a single seamless piece of music and passes by in a flash, with intuitive, flowing rhythms and insidious, warm melodies, and even a reprise of that flickering opening beat in ‘Bobletekno’. This is subtle, uplifting and difficult-to-classify minimal dance music with soul and class, aware of the past but always looking forward to the future. Very impressive.
