6/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 2nd November 2014

On “Landing On A Hundred” Cody ChesnuTT gives Marvin Gaye, Al Green and Stevie Wonder a run their money with his brand of funky soul. “Til I Met Thee” has all the hallmarks of a soul classic. “That’s Still Mama” has some amazing bass playing on it. This album is patchy, but the good bits are great. It does sound like it was made in the early 70s and there are elements of the social protest songs that Marvin Gaye and Syl Johnson were know for in songs such as “Where Is all the Money Going”. Not as good as what it’s trying to be but definitely worth a listen.
