9/10 Ant Staff review, 12 October 2012

This dream team collaboration finally sees the light of day, and I'm pleased to report it has been worth the wait. This is of course a collaboration between Mordant Music and Ekoplekz and is indeed everything I'd hoped for and then some. What's particularly striking about 'IZOD' is that you can hear shades of each artists distinct sound although it doesn't particularly sound like either of them, rather they have created a third sound which is essentially darkside experimental electronic future pop, occasionally reminiscent of TG's foray's into synthesiser pop.

'IZOD Days' is most amusing with the dialogue talking about a users (presumably Baron Mordant) favourite cash point in Hastings. With fourteen tracks spread across around forty seven mins there really is tons to absorb with this record. It's one of those whose subtleties become more apparent over repeated plays. At various points too I'm reminded of all-time classic electronic music from The Future / early Human League and this can only ever be a good thing. Mind-bogglingly brilliant gear.

10/10 Scott Keifer Customer review, 1st March 2014

If you like your electronic music analogue with experimental detours. If you like the inaccessible over the accessible, get stealing the time to listen to this platter of perfectly cooked electronic tune smithing. And you can taste the flavours of the chefs Messrs. Baron Mordant et Ekoplekz as they toil away making bleeps and blips that dance over mellifluous melodies. This mix kicks off the album and continues to have the listener's head spinning from groove 1 to groove 14. Yes a 14 course dish of delectable dining. The menu is not suited to every palatte. If you are averse to industrial music or experimental sounds then you might want to visit another hostelry. But the fayre here is perfection for when I want to gorge on the grotesque, playful songs of dark ambient synth music. The title track is a classic and will sit in the background while you get on with the jobs that would otherwise have you despairing because of their mundanity or if you want an escape from the tired formulas of more mainstream musical mitherings. Bocanet will inspire your dancing reboot your brain and get you ready to face all that you disdain in life with a tad more hope. I told you so.
