Anyone like me that’s been following the output on Avian is in for a real treat here with yet another project from a mystery producer. Kicking straight off with a supremely rugged and raw number entitled ‘Where There is Only Light’ with gargantuan distorted drums it’s a real speaker shredder with a mighty infectious groove. It then descends into a manic feel with a vibe not unlike early stuff on Sheep if anyone remembers that label (Mostly Mick Harris working under fake artist names). Tough and brutal techno.

‘Distorted Images’ is equally as devastating, a real monster that no self respecting techno head should be without. Full on, slightly noisy techno for the fiends. And if those two beasts weren’t enough, the massively under-rated Mike Parker shows up to seal the deal with a blinding remix, taming the distortion but keeping things heavy, heady and hypnotic in his signature style and making use of the bleep for an added early Mika Vainio vibe. LOVE IT!!!!
