Okay, tweeness overload. This is the type of thing that makes Camera Obscura sound like Sunn O))). It’s full of sparkly jangly guitars, prozac-fuelled female vocals and lightweight but enjoyable songs. Are people really ever this happy? I don’t know but to be fair she does have a lovely voice and a lot of the time its reminding me of Even As We Speak, that wonderful Sarah Records band who horrifyingly only ever released one album (it was a good ‘un though).

This is like their younger, happier, less experimental siblings, chock full of vibrant summer post-C86 pop. You could always throw in the usual suspects of Heavenly, Saint Etienne and the Californian sunshine pop of Best Coast. No better way to describe it than the chap on the back sleeve is wearing an All Girl Summer Fun Band shirt. Nuff Said.
