- Mysteries From The Palamino Skyliner by Samantha Glass

Samantha Glass is in fact the pseudonym of Beau Devereaux (which seems like a pretty cool stage name in its own right if you ask me), who makes soft synthetic bedroom psychedelia with a drifty kraut edge and some upbeat almost housey touches with occasional muffled and reverbed baritone vocals; patient, warm driftscapes with soft echoey synth melodies and bloopy modular bass loops and unintrusive programmed drums.
It’s a melodic hypno-cosmic joyride through shimmering therapeutic haze of vintage synth tones, with melodic throbs and celestial twinkles carefully arranged to suck the listener into the soft, inviting layers of sound without it ever getting cluttered or jarring. There’s something of Sun Araw in the soft healing grooves, but the rhythmic and melodic structures are much more firmly anchored and less difficult to pick out, maybe closer to Balam Acab or Clams Casino. Lush bedroom space-synth adventures. Really gorgeous screenprinted sleeves, too.
