Always makes me giggle this music, mainly due to the fact it's really audacious and very slightly preposterous. Cosmic ‘70s disco strut, cruising sci-fi bliss-scapes and progressive synth rock of the highest quality from this one half of Zombi that ain't Stevie Moore.
After the hugely successful 'Timespan' comes Majeure's long-awaited second odyssey. This is the sort of music that that term especially suits. Close your eyes and you're hurtling across alien landscapes in a space-pod dressed like a solar warrior, this vintage yet celestial sound being relentlessly pumped into your brain-cave, trancing you into a delirious stupor. In fact this glorious sound is the original trance music for me. I can't say I worship Vangelis that religiously but if this is the satisfying sum of his influence then I'll have to doff my cap to that pioneer.
So cheesy but utterly compulsive, a mood-altering trip into the glistening reaches of hyper-space that sounds simultaneously four decades-old and weirdly like some kind of insane utopian future.
