King Tuff are good dudes. I liked their Sub Pop debut and a fresh shot of powerpop is always welcome after a day of miserable, soul destroying drones and heavy handed dark techno beats. ‘Screaming Skull’ is a dizzying display of shoegaze infused punk-pop that’s heavy on guitars and solidly danceable. Defo got a little hit on their hands here.

Flip it and the bands trademark glam-stomp comes into full effect on ‘Love Potion’. Again, it’s a pretty ballsy rockout that wouldn’t sound at all out of place on a Supergrass album. Kinda ‘70s sounding Top Of The Pops biz.
