8/10 Clinton Staff review, 05 October 2012
Coming in on ‘butterscotch angel delight’ coloured vinyl, I’ve already played the whole thing through once at what I now suspect was the wrong speed. I’m now going to try again at a lower speed and I’m finding that I am enjoying it more. It’s a minimal slice of squelchy electro dub, which builds slowly but effectively. Nothing really happens, it’s kind of sleepy-dub. Nothing real is going on within this record - it’s all digi-dub.On the flip we get a subtle remix by my man, king of the dub Pole which is actually very unlike a lot of his work in that...well...he hasn’t changed it all that much, just added a fluttery sound and a bit of percussion. There is a final mix from Tempest which again is marginally different. All very minimal/samey depending on your viewpoint but has a certain repetitive charm.
