8/10 Phil Staff review, 11 September 2012
There’s little info to go on here. I know it’s by Robert Jung, it’s self titled and self released on the Lit label. I know it’s limited to 130 copies on vinyl and I also know it’s 10 tracks of analogue synth music. That’s about as much as I can tell you. Oh and it’s in a screen printed sleeve which feels well nice on your finger tips.
I’m listening to it now so I can tell you a bit about the music. Some of the tracks are on a kosmische tip and others are a more post industrial, new wave tip. I can see this appealing to fans of the minimal wave label as well. It has a feeling of coldness about it which makes it differ a little from the likes of Emeralds and Oneohtrix (though I think fans of both will approve of this) There’s a nice mix of electronic synth styles on range here and if you’re a fan of all things analogue then you’d do well to check this European sounding mother out. I’m going to give this a 4 too.
