We’ve got a very limited 12” here on Digitalis from Birch Cooper, who as far as I can tell is also in chanty spiritual psych-droners The Slaves, which would presumably make him from Portland. Anyway, this one here is a very different proposition, with Cooper doling out five passages of quite harsh cosmic electronics with lots of super-high-pitched drones and staticky buzzes mixed in amongst the smooth spaced out kosmische shimmer, but without things ever seeming overwhelmingly chaotic. Instead you’re taken into a swirling, chirping dystopian chillscape that’s thoroughly absorbing even when it’s not exactly fun. The less soothing side of cosmic electronics, I guess you could say. There's only 100 copies of this in the world so I don't expect it to last long.
