8/10 Brian Staff review, 13 September 2012
Dinosaw Jumper are back with their latest album that sounds like J. Mescalines and the Frog but with the love-lorn one out of ace Indie emo noiseniks September-NO! re-instated and doing his day job like what he did in the late 80's before the laconic hippy guy turned bad and gave him the finger man. Apparently the original Irish drummer is back "in the family" too, completing the re-convention of the classic line-up for this stunning English 4-piece rock bros' most accomplished outing yet.
'I Spat on Guy' seems a great deal better than their scrappy, amateur beginnings where the guitar sounded cheap and aggressive, almost unhinged.....say, evil and nasty like a wild woman or an alley cat. Ugggh! How shudder-some! I can imagine this most civilised and melodic of hard indie-rawk albums being played in my local indo-sushi fusion bistro rather soon, it sure is music to eagerly chow down with friends to, almost as good as the last Weezer masterpiece or as rockin' as Lemonheads at their most primal....git down wit' these boys dammit! (I quite like it really!!! Mum?? Why is Mike holding a huge weapon to my head?....x B)
