I thought with a name like this that these guys would be some kind of punky kids, but actually this is a Greek duo making creaking, droning, dirgey lo-fi with creepy whispery vocals. On the first side ‘Silk’ has monotonous trebly clangs held together by a spidery bassline while all manner of unsettling creaks and groans sit atop the mumbled vocals. The overall effect is of a weird, reclusive monster in his cave, mumbling and griping to himself under his breath, maybe setting the world to rights.
The flipside seems to switch to 33rpm and contains two more tracks of cyclic melodies, creaky-sewer chunter’n’echo and incomprehensible defeated vocals. Murky, paranoid, organic stuff that’ll probably appeal to fans of the likes of Dirgey Beaches or The Telescopes.
